Skinning From Scratch Part 1 Now Online

This one's for DNN developers who want a bit of information about skinning. This tutorial won't make you a skinning expert, but hopefully it'll be enought to give you a good idea about how the whole process works (and the ability to troubleshoot recalcitant 3rd party skins)

I'm not a designer, so I'm keeping it simple in termas of layout. This tutorial is more about discussing the functionality behind a DNN skin, and how to use cascading style sheets to make things like the Solpartmenu behave.

Walkthrough: Module Packaging for the Terminally Broke now online

If you're a DNN module developer using VSE ('cause it's free, yay!) and would like to sell your modules without giving away your source code, you may have come across a small hitch: How on earth do you persuade VSE to pre-compile your module code? And how do you add that to your module package?

Custom Permissions for DNN Modules Walkthrough

If you've ever been wondering how you can add permissions other than 'View Module'  and 'Edit Module' to your DNN module settings, wonder no longer. 

I was faced with the same problem not long ago, and after reading an excellent article by Vicenç Masanas on the subject (and some tinkering) I managed to get something together. And 'cause I'm nice I tidied up my notes on the process and posted them here for your edification and enjoyment. So run, don't walk to my scribblings on the subject if you're interested...
