If you're a DNN module developer using VSE ('cause it's free, yay!) and would like to sell your modules without giving away your source code, you may have come across a small hitch: How on earth do you persuade VSE to pre-compile your module code? And how do you add that to your module package?

If you've ever been wondering how you can add permissions other than 'View Module'  and 'Edit Module' to your DNN module settings, wonder no longer. 

I was faced with the same problem not long ago, and after reading an excellent article by Vicenç Masanas on the subject (and some tinkering) I managed to get something together. And 'cause I'm nice I tidied up my notes on the process and posted them here for your edification and enjoyment. So run, don't walk to my scribblings on the subject if you're interested...
